A rapidly growing, live entertainment group, specialising in comedy, is seeking to strengthen its team with the appointment of a Business Development Manager for its in-house B-2-C ticketing platform. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small but dynamic live entertainment group, and for someone able to play a key role as we take the company to the next stage in its development.

About Us

TTG is the rapidly growing live entertainment group. Specialists in the comedy sector with operating divisions in ticketing, venue operations, promotions, and content. Our youthful but experienced management team leads the four operating companies: TicketText (our in-house ticketing platform); 2Northdown and 21Soho (our two critically acclaimed live events venues); and Laughing Around (our video production and podcast studio arm), with more to come.

The post-holder will primarily be working within TicketText which is a mobile-based, white labeled ticketing platform that enables artists, venues & promoters to directly connect & engage with their audiences through an intuitive and efficient event ticketing solution. Clients range from your favourite local comedy club to nationwide arena tours, and we manage all kinds of events, both live and digital. TicketText is a member of STAR (The Society of Ticket Agents & Retailers).

About You

An interest in comedy is desirable, and you must be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for the live entertainment and events industry. You will be a super organised individual with some previous experience in ticketing, either from a venue box office, retail agency, or software platform. We are seeking a friendly and calm team-player, able to use personal initiative and contribute ideas, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The post will require your ability to travel to meet with our clients, as well as availability to attend evening or weekend events at our venues in London.

Post Duties & Responsibilities

• Generate sales leads through independent research and prioritisation, with a focus on live entertainment, especially comedy.

• Identify client (artists, promoters, and venues) needs and how TicketText matches, or exceeds their business needs.

• Develop strategies for TicketText clients to maximise revenues and increase customer engagement.

• Maintain accurate records of all existing and prospective clients.

• Create and update a suite of sales and marketing materials.

• Work alongside TTG’s different functional teams to help define new features that will strengthen TicketText’s client offering.

• Travel as required to meet business needs and commitments

Key Skills / Competencies

• Proven sales experience in the ticketing, live entertainment or events industry.

• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to sell TicketText as a key partner to potential new clients. You must be a confident negotiator and be comfortable communicating at all levels.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to understand sometimes complex requirements.

• Ability to identify key trends and market challenges in the ticketing and entertainment sectors.

• Be commercially driven, able to produce accurate revenue forecasting & meet financial targets.

• Be passionate about live entertainment.
